ALLIGRAZE
RESIDUAL HERBICIDE + DRY FERTILIZER = ONE APPLICATION
Alligraze is a new treatment type that allows ranchers to achieve broadleaf weed control and forage fertilization in a one-pass application. This process of dry fertilizer impregnation requires a minimum of 200 pounds of dry fertilizer.

Advanced Vegetation Management Technology
Alligraze is the technique of blending Gunslinger AMP or Prescott residual herbicides, to dry fertilizer prills. This encapsulates the prills ensuring plant nutrition and broadleaf weed control in a one-pass solution for your hay fields and grazing pastures.
A Simple Process with Quality Results
Alligraze is applied, just as common fertilizer would be, through spreader trucks, wagons, or buggies. After rainfall or heavy dew, Gunslinger AMP or Prescott is activated causing the herbicide to release from the fertilizer prill, infiltrate into the soil, and be absorbed by the roots of unwanted vegetation.
Benefits of Alligraze
- Efficient, one-pass application
- Fewer weather-related interruptions
- Reduced risk of drift
- Compatible with any size operation
Application Process
- Apply Gunslinger AMP or Prescott Herbicide at 32 oz per acre with at least 200 pounds or more fertilizer per acre.
- Apply a dye while blending to see the herbicide encapsulated.
- Apply when weeds are in a young vegetative stage. Mature weeds will be hard to control.
- The blending equipment must be completely dedicated to this process and not used for crops.

Impregnation onto Dry Fertilizer Process
Impregnation onto Dry Fertilizer Process
Alligare’s Impregnation onto Dry Fertilizer Process provides benefits and typical results you can expect when using the Alligraze process with Gunslinger AMP or Prescott herbicides.
Alligare’s Gunslinger® AMP is a high-quality formulation that increases grass production by diminishing competing vegetation.
- Long-lasting residual control that is excellent on nightshades, nettles, knapweeds, and thistles
- Increases grass production by releasing valuable water, nutrients, and light taken by undesirable weeds
- For use with pre- and post-emergent treatments and can be impregnated on dry fertilizer
- Tank mix-friendly formulation may be used alone or in combination with other herbicides to broaden target weeds and/or reduce herbicide resistance
Alligare’s Prescott Herbicide is a broad-spectrum, post-emergent solution used for individual plant or spot treatment of noxious and invasive weeds. This herbicide offers superior control of thistles, vines, and woody plants.
- Non-restricted use herbicide with selective broadleaf control for the release of desirable grass species
- Flexible tank mix options, including mixing with liquid fertilizer, for location-specific treatment
- Non-volatile formulation for use around sensitive species including Bahia grass and fescue

Optimizing Grazing Efficiency through Strategic Prickly Pear ManagementOpuntia, more commonly known as prickly pear, is a well-recognized symbol of the Southwest, but for land managers and livestock producers, it often represents a persistent challenge. While several species are native to the region, invasive species originating from Central America and the West Indies have also become established. Whether growing horizontally across the ground or standing vertically at heights exceeding six feet, prickly pear can significantly disrupt grazing operations. Its dense structure and sharp spines limit access to desirable forage, reduce pasture productivity, and deter cattle from grazing effectively.... Read more

Thinning Sagebrush with TEB 20: A Strategic Approach to Rangeland ManagementSagebrush (Artemisia spp.) dominates millions of acres of rangeland across the western United States, thriving in arid and semi-arid conditions where many other species struggle. Its drought tolerance and ability to access deep soil moisture make it a keystone plant in these ecosystems. Sagebrush should never be viewed as a weed to be eradicated. In fact, its presence often signals a functioning, resilient rangeland system.... Read more -
One Pass, Double Impact: Fertilize and Control Weeds for Maximum Pasture PerformanceEvery season, land managers and livestock producers face the same dilemma: “Should I fertilize my pastures to boost forage production, or apply herbicide to control broadleaf weeds?” Historically, the answer leaned toward fertilization. But this often came at a cost, an explosion of weed growth that ultimately competed with the forage you were trying to support. Now, thanks to the Alligraze program from Alligare, you no longer have to choose. Alligraze combines dry fertilizer with a residual herbicide in a single application, giving you a dual-action solution that promotes vigorous forage growth while suppressing aggressive broadleaf weeds....
